About
The Seasoned Diabetic
I’ve lived with diabetes for over 55 years. Over time, I learned that some of the hardest moments weren’t only medical — they were relational: being misunderstood, feeling watched, trying not to be a burden, needing help but wanting independence, and living with the constant mental hum of “don’t forget.”

What This Site Is For
This is a calm place for people living with diabetes and the people who love them. It’s not about perfect performance. It’s about learning the language of support, reducing conflict, and building trust in daily life.

What I Believe
-
Support works best when it respects dignity.
-
Fear is real — so is fatigue.
-
“Helping” isn’t helpful if it feels like control.
-
You can tell the truth with gentleness.
-
Nobody thrives under constant pressure — especially not long-term.
